A Dec. 15 article by Bloomberg News outlined what it described as forced child labor in an organic and fair-trade cotton program in Burkina Faso, Africa, which is a source of material for the major lingerie retailer.
The federal government’s initial probe is being conducted by a unit from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing a law enforcement source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
