Supervisor Consults Ouija Board Before Naming Navy Ship After Harvey Milk
Harvey Milk is like the Martin Luther King for gays, so this San Francisco supervisor chose to name a Navy Ship after him, after first consulting spiritual advisers.
Supervisor John Avalos told the San Francisco Chronicle that he believes he made contact with Milk’s spirit and that Milk spelled out letters indicating: “Good riddance to don’t ask, don’t tell.”
The Board of Supervisors approved the non-binding resolution Tuesday on a 9-2 vote.
MLK Statue Causing A Stir
Because there’s no longer enough oppression to complain about and there’s a general unhappiness with being as much of a minority as an Asian or Middle Eastern, there are people complaining about the portrayal of Martin Luther King in his new statue.
Poet and author Maya Angelou says a recently unveiled monument to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. is inscribed with a quote taken out of context that makes the preacher seem “arrogant.”
