These kids were holding a tribute concert in a local Wal-Mart to commemorate the victims of 9/11, but Wal-Mart security cut it short.
About 75 elementary-age children were booted out of the Pembroke Pines store Tuesday by the manager on duty who claimed to be unaware the students had been given permission to hold their tribute concert inside.
The children, led by their teachers, then performed the song outside the store. That’s when the unsympathetic Walmart management called the cops to have the kids removed from the property.
It’s officially been 10 years since anti-American terrorists with sticks up where they don’t belong pulled a sucker punch on the greatest country on the earth.
It’s well-known that we will “always remember where we were” when we found out. I, being the bright bulb I am, responded to all the other young kids raving about it by chiming in that “I can’t believe there was a tornado on the edge of a cliff.” Yea, my situational awareness went unchecked until High School.
