Green & Mean?: Study Shows Organic Eaters Are Less Likely to Help Others
If you think that because someone eats organic foods they are altruistic hippy enthusiasts, think again. Psychologist Dr Kendall Eskine shows that people who are exposed to more organic foods, are less likely to be a helping hand for others based on his study of 62 students.
It also makes them judge immoral behavi[o]r more harshly … while comfort foods can lead to us being more social and making kinder moral judgments.
One [group] was given pictures of organic produce, another images of ice cream, cookies, chocolate and brownies, and a control group pictures of porridge, rice, mustard and beans.

PETA is one for so much controversy, it makes animal lovers hate the group, but now their newest plans include an animal friendly porn site.
“We live in a 24 hour news cycle world and we learn the racy things we do are sometimes the most effective way that we can reach particular individuals,” said PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt.
Instead of focusing on anti-fur, the porn site will raise awareness of veganism, said Rajt. “We really want to grab people’s attention, get them talking and to question the status quo and ultimately take action, because the best way we can help the greatest number of animals is simply by not eating them.”
Starbucks Using Crushed Bugs To Die Drinks?
Only at a place like Starbucks would someone uncover that a drink is not 100% vegan and that is exactly what happened. This website reveals that Starbucks uses an extract from bugs to die their Strawberry Frappuccinos.
“My guess would be that the recipe changed about three or four weeks ago, when our strawberry sauce got new packaging,” the barista told the website. “I was hoping you guys could help get the word out there so that no vegans end up drinking this formerly vegan frappucino by mistake!”
Cochineal extract comes from the dried bodies of cochineal bugs and has been used for thousands of years to color fabrics.
